India's AstroSat, together with NASA's space observatories, has captured spectacular eruptions from stellar debris near a massive black hole, according to a statement by ISRO on Thursday.

The discovery, involving the tearing apart of a star and its subsequent transformation into a wreckage disk, offers significant insights for astronomers into the mysteries of the universe. This overlap of phenomena was finally understood due to observations made using NASA's Chandra, HST, NICER, Swift, and ISRO's AstroSat.

While past events of tidal disruption have been noted, connecting them to quasi-periodic eruptions offers a fresh perspective. This monumental breakthrough was highlighted in the journal 'Nature', presenting the combined efforts of international astronomical agencies and their state-of-the-art equipment.
