Currently situated about 65 miles west-southwest of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Milton is generating maximum sustained winds of 90 mph, as the region braces for reduced impact.
Earlier, Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, as a Category 3 hurricane at approximately 8:30 p.m. EDT, with winds reaching 120 mph, causing significant attention and precautionary measures.
