A segment of a three-storey residential structure owned by the Maharashtra government's housing agency, MHADA, collapsed in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.

Remarkably, the incident resulted in no injuries. The building, housing 30 rooms and eight shops, was vacated post-incident, officials confirmed.

The slab and plaster from the edifice's first floor, identified as 'Karim' in central Mumbai's Madanpura locality, dislodged at approximately 12.45 PM, as per a civic official who relayed data from the Fire Brigade.

"There was no report of injury to anyone," emphasized the official.

The structure was confirmed as a property of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. Emergency response teams, inclusive of the Fire Brigade, police, civic undertaking BEST, ward personnel, and emergency medical services, were promptly deployed to the site, with MHADA officials also attending.
