Tiger Found Dead in Maharashtra's Gondia Forest

A tragic discovery was made in Maharashtra's Gondia district when a tiger was found dead in the Navegaon-Nagzira forest, officials reported on Sunday.
The carcass of the nine-year-old tiger, known as T-9, was located at 10am in compartment 96 of Nagdev Pahadi by a beat guard, according to an official release from the office of Navegaon-Nagzira Deputy Director Rahul Gawai.
Preliminary findings suggest that the tiger died from injuries sustained in a territorial fight. Officials confirmed that all parts of the tiger were intact, and it was cremated in accordance with National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) guidelines.
