Four individuals, including two young children, succumbed to rain-related incidents in Rajasthan's Barmer and Dholpur districts as heavy downpours caused waterlogging in low-lying areas, officials confirmed.

The Urmila Sagar Dam on Dholpur Bari road overflowed, leading to the closure of National Highway 11B, which connects Dholpur to Karauli. According to police reports, a dilapidated house in Dholpur collapsed due to the intense rainfall, burying ten people under the debris. Tragically, two children, aged three and four, died during treatment in the hospital.

In Barmer, two brothers drowned while attempting to bathe in the Luni river. The meteorological department has forecasted continued heavy rainfall in many parts of Rajasthan over the next 24 hours, warning residents to remain cautious.
