Central Government Mobilizes Relief Efforts for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Floods
The Centre has provided comprehensive flood relief and rescue assistance to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, mobilizing teams from the NDRF and IAF. An inter-ministerial central team will soon assess the damage in affected areas. Over 350 people have been rescued, with 71,000 kilograms of relief materials distributed.

The Centre has rapidly extended necessary and timely assistance to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to combat the devastating floods, a senior Union home ministry official stated on Friday. An inter-ministerial central team is scheduled to visit the affected regions shortly to assess the damage.
Additional Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Jindal announced that 26 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, eight Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters, three naval helicopters, and one Dornier aircraft have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh for rescue and relief operations. In Telangana, seven NDRF teams and two IAF helicopters have also been mobilized.
Jindal emphasized that the central government is committed to supporting the state governments' relief and rescue efforts. The inter-ministerial team will provide an on-the-spot assessment of flood damage and recommend further financial assistance from the National Disaster Response Fund.
