Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced Thursday the deployment of Army teams to address breaches in the Budameru rivulet to control the flooding in Vijayawada.
During a press conference at the NTR district collectorate, Naidu, alongside Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, highlighted that the situation was severe, necessitating immediate intervention.
Chouhan conducted an aerial survey of flood-hit areas and noted that unprecedented rains have severely damaged homes, vehicles, and infrastructure. He appreciated the state's efforts in managing the catastrophe and assured that the Central government would extend full support.
