The blackout affected at least 13 regions, including Carabobo and Aragua, with numerous social media videos showing cities enveloped in darkness.

This incident evokes memories of 2019, when Venezuela suffered three national blackouts, each lasting up to three days. At that time, authorities attributed the outages to hostile attacks on the power network by opponents of President Nicolas Maduro.
