A 45-year-old farmer has been killed by a leopard in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, a forest official confirmed on Friday.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening in the Haldaur forest area when the victim, identified as Piyush, was tending to his farm, according to Forest Ranger Mahesh Gautam.
Piyush's body was discovered in a bush near his field. In response to the attack, officials are installing cages in the area to capture the dangerous animal.
