Engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Wednesday that it has secured a 'large' order for integrated infrastructure development in Maharashtra.

The order was secured by the Transportation Infrastructure vertical of L&T, according to a stock exchange filing.

Orders valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore are classified as 'large' by the company.

'L&T has secured an order for an integrated infrastructure development project for town planning schemes 2 to 7 under the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) Project in Maharashtra,' the filing stated.

The project, awarded by the City and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO), involves the development of roads, the construction of various major and minor structures, and allied electrical works.

Additionally, the project includes the construction of utility works and related electrical tasks.

L&T is a USD 27-billion company with expertise in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, hi-tech manufacturing, and services.
