Three children sustained serious burn injuries after coming into contact with a high tension wire while flying kites on Monday evening, local police reported.

The children, aged between eight and 11, were initially treated at a nearby hospital before being transferred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. They sustained burns covering 25 to 30 percent of their bodies.

The incident occurred around 6 pm when Nitish, his brother Satyam, and their neighbor Ahsan were flying kites and tangled their kite in a high tension wire. As they attempted to free the kite, a spark from the wire caused the burns. Family members quickly rushed to rescue them and took them to the hospital.
