Ongo and Chennai Metro Unveil 'Ongo Ride' National Common Mobility Card

Ongo, the digital payments platform of AGS Transact Technologies, has unveiled a new instant National Common Mobility Card called 'Ongo Ride' in partnership with Chennai Metro Rail Limited, the company announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, Ongo revealed that it has set up special card dispensers equipped with the UPI feature at 12 different CMRL metro stations. These dispensers facilitate the issuance of ready-to-use Ongo Ride cards.
Designed to offer a unified payment solution, Ongo Ride integrates various modes of transportation including metros, buses, and water ferries, along with payments at parking lots and toll booths. ''Metro railways are a cornerstone of urban mobility infrastructure, with India seeing a daily metro ridership of about 10 million. National Common Mobility Cards have the potential to transform mobility across the nation,'' said Ravi B Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of AGS Transact Technologies Ltd.
''With our unique NCMC card dispensers, we are streamlining the issuance process and, through Ongo Ride, enabling seamless access to all NCMC-enabled transit services, providing unparalleled convenience for commuters,'' added Goyal.
