Tragic Loss at Kuno National Park: Death of Cheetah Cub Gamini
A five-month-old cub of African cheetah named Gamini died at Kuno National Park. The cub's condition worsened suddenly, and despite emergency treatment, it passed away. The autopsy will determine the death cause. Gamini had given birth to six cubs in March, with another cub dying in June.

A five-month-old African cheetah cub named Gamini died at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, confirmed park officials.
The cub's health rapidly deteriorated on Monday morning, and emergency treatment was administered. Sadly, the cub could not be saved, according to a release by the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Director of the Lion Project.
During a routine check on July 29 evening, Gamini's cub was found unable to lift its hindquarters. The cub was rushed to the hospital, where veterinarians discovered a fractured vertebral column. Despite intensive care, the cub succumbed to its injuries. The exact cause of death will be established post-autopsy.
