Floods and Fatalities: Uttar Pradesh’s Ongoing Struggle

In the last 24 hours, five people have died in rain-related incidents across Uttar Pradesh, and six districts remain affected by floods. The state relief commissioner’s office is coordinating relief and rescue efforts in the inundated areas.

In a devastating turn of events, five individuals lost their lives due to rain-related incidents within the past 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, as reported by the state relief commissioner's office.

Ongoing floods continue to afflict six districts, prompting the initiation of robust relief and rescue operations.

The districts still submerged include Ballia, Lakhimpur Kheri, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Bijnor, and Barabanki. Tragically, Banda, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, and Moradabad each reported fatalities due to lightning, drowning, and snake bites.

Compounding the crisis, the irrigation department noted that the Ganga river is breaching the danger mark at Kachla Bridge in Budaun.
