Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India is spearheading a climate action initiative in Singaperumal Koil Panchayat. The CSR project focuses on efficient solid waste management, recycling, and reducing plastic pollution. This effort aims to improve local health, create jobs, and provide alternative revenue for the panchayat, setting an environmental benchmark.

Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India has launched a significant climate action initiative in Singaperumal Koil Panchayat, Chengalpattu. The CSR project focuses on effective solid waste management, emphasizing collection, segregation, and recycling of dry waste.

The initiative has provided residents with 'Wealth Bags' for daily waste collection by a specialized team. This project aims to reduce plastic pollution, improve local health, generate employment, and offer alternative revenue streams for the panchayat.

At the launch event held at Singaperumal Koil Government Higher Secondary School, attended by 690 students and various officials, speakers highlighted the importance of community involvement. Ms. Anamika Ramesh, Chengalpattu's Additional Collector, emphasized that combating climate change begins at home. Ms. Eva James, Vice President of Renault Nissan Tech, noted that such initiatives serve as a model for broader adoption.
