Despite forecasts predicting rain, Delhiites witnessed a relatively dry Friday. The maximum temperature reached 34.3 degrees Celsius, which is a notch below the normal, as per reports from the India Meteorological Department.

Throughout the day, humidity levels varied between 63 percent and 67 percent, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather department, Friday was expected to have generally cloudy skies with light rain. However, the day remained dry.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the moderate category, with a reading of 107 at 6 pm, as reported by the Central Pollution Control Board.

In their Thursday forecast, weather experts anticipated moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds for Friday. Despite these predictions, no rain graced the capital city during the day.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
