Parts of Rajasthan were drenched in heavy showers, with Churu recording the highest rainfall on Sunday, according to the weather office.

Over the last 24 hours, parts of the Bharatpur division registered heavy to very heavy rainfall, a Met department spokesperson reported.

Light to moderate rainfalls were recorded in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Jaipur divisions, alongside Ajmer and Udaipur, the spokesperson said.

Jaipur Meteorological Centre spokesperson noted that Churu recorded the highest rainfall of 51.4 mm between Sunday morning and 5:30 pm, even as temperatures in the city remained high at 40.2 degrees Celsius.

Several other places recorded significant rain: Bari received 12 cm, Baseri 11 cm, Bharatpur city 10 cm, Kumher 9 cm, Deeg 8 cm, Pahari 6 cm, and Roopbas 6 cm. Many locations reported rainfall ranging from 1 to 4 cm during this period.

Dungarpur recorded 4.5 mm, Jaipur 3.7 mm, and Alwar 1.6 mm of rain.

Sri Ganganagar recorded the state's highest maximum temperature at 41.3 degrees Celsius, with Fatehpur at 40.9 degrees Celsius and Bikaner at 40.5 degrees Celsius. Several other cities reported maximum temperatures between 32-40 degrees Celsius, the weather department confirmed.
