In a dramatic protest on Tuesday, Congress MLAs in Madhya Pradesh staged a demonstration against the ruling BJP government over unemployment concerns. The protest, held in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at the state assembly in Bhopal, featured symbolic elements, including a fake snake. The protestors, led by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and Deputy Leader Hemant Katare, claimed that the BJP administration was neglecting the state's youth.

The Congress leaders accused the current government of failing to fill around 70,000 to 80,000 vacancies in various departments, such as Agriculture, PWD, and Police. Singhar argued that the BJP government, spearheaded by Mohan Yadav, was damaging the youth's future by not addressing employment issues. Katare echoed these sentiments, saying the BJP's 'hidden face' was detrimental to future generations, forcing many young people to migrate elsewhere for jobs.

In response, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma dismissed the protest, suggesting it was a ploy by Congress to divert attention from internal conflicts, humorously insinuating that Congress was training to handle 'snakes' within their ranks. He claimed that Congress leaders were involved in backstabbing plots, symbolically referring to them as 'Asteen ka Saanp' or 'backstabbers.'
