Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for allegedly diverting public focus through unfounded protests over election officials scrutinizing his bags. This remark came during Fadnavis's campaign for Mahayuti's candidate, Sulabha Ganpat Gaikwad, ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls scheduled for November 20.
Fadnavis pointed out the routine nature of such checks, stating his own campaign bags were inspected without incident. He depicted Thackeray's complaints as a tactic lacking substance and a means to rally votes.
Further, Fadnavis lambasted the opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition for its alleged initiatives against the Ladki Bahin Yojana. He claimed that Maharashtra's industrial growth has surged under the current government, eclipsing Karnataka and Gujarat.
