In a fiery speech at a rally in Pune ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress of echoing Pakistan's sentiments by advocating for the restoration of Article 370 in Kashmir. Modi firmly declared, "Nobody can bring back Article 370, we have buried it deep in the ground," stressing the country's refusal to entertain such demands.
Modi lambasted Congress for its governance failures, questioning their decades-long rule without implementing the Constitution crafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar across India. He extolled the BJP's decisive action in abrogating Article 370, asserting that it restored peace and thwarted separatist ambitions in Kashmir.
Turning his attention to Congress's performance in Karnataka, Modi accused the party of breaking promises and running an extortion racket, allegedly using questionable funds to fight elections in Maharashtra. He expressed confidence in the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance's prospects in the state, mentioning their unprecedented pace in development compared to the previous regime.
