Veteran CPI(M) leader Biman Bose has been hospitalized in Kolkata after developing a high fever. The chairman of the CPI(M)-led Left Front was admitted following a trip to Malda and Uttar Dinajpur in northern West Bengal, according to party officials.
Bose's health became a concern after he experienced a high fever for three days. Reluctant to be hospitalized initially, Bose acquiesced due to his advancing age and the need for careful observation, said a party leader.
A doctor treating Bose revealed that several tests have been conducted, and his condition is currently stable. Bose, formerly the state secretary of the CPI(M), is now a special invitee to the party's central committee.
