The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a strong critique against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Monday, accusing it of neglecting the health needs of Delhi's residents by not implementing the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) scheme.

In a swipe at Delhi's ruling party, BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, addressed a letter to Chief Minister Atishi. He demanded immediate action to commence the long-stalled health initiative in the Union Territory.

The BJP claims that the AAP government failed to utilize a staggering Rs 2,406 crore allocated by the central government, which was intended to construct over a thousand public health centers, critical care units, and testing labs throughout Delhi. Furthermore, Gupta accused the AAP government of outsourcing lab services to a favored private entity, hinting at alleged corruption.
