As Jharkhand nears the first phase of its assembly elections, Assam Chief Minister and BJP Jharkhand co-incharge, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has expressed strong confidence in a sweeping victory for his party. In a statement to ANI, Sarma emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent roadshow in Ranchi made significant waves, bolstering the BJP's electoral campaign.
"The atmosphere is incredibly favorable," noted Sarma, underscoring Modi's historic engagement over the weekend. The Prime Minister captivated audiences in Ranchi with a roadshow and rallies in Bokaro and Gumla, where he criticized Congress and its allies for allegedly provoking divisions among socially disadvantaged communities.
Targeting Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Modi claimed these parties hinder the state's progress by opposing tribal leaders and fostering discord among SCs, STs, and OBCs. He urged voters to reject their divisive maneuvers. The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly elections are slated for November 13 and 20, with results expected on November 23.
