Homan, who formerly served in the Trump administration, is also being considered for secretary of homeland security. Immigration control has been a major focus of Trump's campaign. He has assured supporters that Homan will manage deportation efforts for illegal immigrants.
As Trump prepares for his January inauguration, he is selecting key figures for his administration. According to CNN, he has offered Representative Elise Stefanik the position of U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
