Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a high-profile appearance alongside his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Wayanad on the last day of the bypoll campaign. He vowed to propel Wayanad to global fame as a leading tourism destination.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, serving as Congress general secretary, is the UDF candidate for the bypolls. Speaking to a large gathering, Rahul Gandhi pledged support to his sister's campaign, promising to make Wayanad the best tourism spot worldwide, during a roadshow that spanned from Assumption Junction to Chungam Junction in Sultan Bathery.
Addressing the crowd, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the significant role of love in politics, a lesson he attributed to the people of Wayanad. The impending by-election, set for November 13, comes after Rahul vacated the seat following his victory in Raebareli.
