Political parties in Mizoram have voiced their condemnation following the tragic killing of a woman in Zairon Hmar village, located in Manipur's Jiribam district. The incident involved an attack by unidentified individuals, resulting in the destruction of six homes.
On Thursday night, a 31-year-old woman was killed, and her charred remains were discovered the following day. The ruling Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) expressed its strong denunciation of the brutal act on social media.
Opposition parties, including the Mizo National Front (MNF) and Congress, have also strongly condemned both the murder and the subsequent arson. The MNF stated that this incident is deeply distressing, especially amid ongoing efforts for peace, and urged authorities to take swift action.
