In a significant legal development, Pakistan's anti-terrorism court has awarded post-arrest bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan in four high-profile arson cases.

Khan, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was accused of orchestrating violent protests after his arrest in May 2023, linked to a corruption case. Furthermore, hearings for eight other cases have been postponed to November 30.

The Punjab government's prosecutor claims that Khan encouraged aggressive actions against military and government facilities. The defense, however, argues the charges are inconsistent with the facts, seeking additional time to present their case.
