In a press conference held in Nagpur, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing its leaders of using provocative rhetoric to deflect public attention from core issues. As Maharashtra gears up for its November 20 assembly elections, Kharge emphasized the need for a government that prioritizes development.
Kharge highlighted the contradictory messages within the BJP, contrasting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's 'Batenge toh katenge' slogan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Ek hain toh safe hain'. He urged BJP leaders to clarify which narrative they support.
Kicking up the ante, the Congress chief accused BJP leaders from Vidarbha of failing to retain major investments, implying they prioritize their positions over public interest.
