Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis conveyed confidence on Friday regarding the resolution of internal party dissent, asserting that rebel candidates are 'their own people' and emphasizing the party's duty to align everyone with its vision. Fadnavis expressed belief in successfully bridging differences in the party's broader interest.

Elections are heating up as candidates file nominations ahead of the November 20 Assembly elections, wherein the BJP faces internal challenges with rebel factions. Similarly, the NCP led by Ajit Pawar has encountered controversies, especially surrounding the candidacy of Nawab Malik, over which the BJP has expressed strong opposition due to Malik's alleged ties to controversial figures.

As election day nears, both ruling alliances and opposition coalitions are rounding up their preparations. The BJP, part of the Mahayuti alliance alongside the Shiv Sena's Shiv Shinde faction and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, braces for competition against the Maha Vikas Aghadi led by the Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Shiv Sena (UBT). These developments unfold as parties compete for 288 assembly seats, with vote counting scheduled on November 23.
