Ahead of the first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections, 685 candidates have entered the contest following the withdrawal of 58 nominations.
The state will witness its first round of polling across 43 constituencies on November 13, out of a total of 81 seats contested in two phases.
Amid heightened scrutiny, authorities have seized Rs 121.14 crore in suspected election-related transactions statewide, alongside lodging 22 FIRs for model code violations.
