Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ramped up her campaign for the Wayanad bypoll on Tuesday, accusing the BJP-led Central government of attempting to erode democratic values and neglecting the rehabilitation of landslide-afflicted areas. According to Priyanka, the government has not allocated funding for relief, indicating a lack of respect for citizens.

While in Wayanad, Priyanka emphasized that the BJP's divisive tactics contrast with the foundational principles of Indian politics, which prioritize public welfare. She argued that the BJP's main objective is to remain in power, disregarding citizens' needs, a claim underscored by recent policies benefiting corporate allies.

In addition to criticizing governance, Priyanka pledged to advocate for Wayanad residents' issues in Parliament. She noted the region's significant support for her brother Rahul Gandhi and committed to supporting sports and youth development there. The by-election, scheduled for November 13, follows Rahul's departure from the seat.
