As Maharashtra approaches its assembly elections on November 20, political dynamics heat up with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, led by Congress, expressing strong confidence in taking control. Congress President Nana Patole articulated this optimism, highlighting the festive atmosphere as large crowds gather to file nominations.

Patole, who submitted his candidacy from the Sakoli Assembly seat, emphasized the forthcoming political shift. 'There is going to be a change of government in Maharashtra,' he asserted, predicting a decisive MVA majority. This coalition, including Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), aims to dethrone the current Mahayuti alliance.

The Mahayuti alliance comprises three key parties: the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. The intense political contest is further reflected in the release of Ajit Pawar's NCP's fourth candidate list, featuring contenders Devendra Bhuyar and Shankar Mandekar. The Chief Election Officer reported 4,426 nominations from 3,259 candidates, with the last date for nomination withdrawal on November 4.
