Officials toured locations including Vijay Ghat, Rashtriya Smriti Sthal, and others, but a decision on the site has yet to be made.
In an effort to finalize the memorial's location, the ministry has conducted multiple meetings with the Union home ministry officials. Meanwhile, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has identified possible locations around the Sanjay Gandhi memorial and the Rashtriya Smriti Sthal.
The government is consulting with Singh's family to ensure their input is considered, indicating plans to set up a trust for managing the chosen land. The former prime minister, credited as the architect of India's economic reforms, passed away at 92 years old.
