The Congress party has leveled criticism against the NDA government's security policies following a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg that left four people dead, including two soldiers and two porters. The attack, which saw terrorists firing on an Army vehicle near Gulmarg, also left another porter and a soldier injured.
In the wake of the attack, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, expressed his sorrow over the loss of the Army personnel and emphasized the failure of NDA's policies in ensuring security in the region. He called for the government to take accountability and prioritize the safety of both the Army and civilians.
Additionally, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her condolences to the victims' families and condemned the violent incident. She reiterated that acts of terror are intolerable in a civilized society and further demanded immediate restoration of peace in the Valley.
