M Y Tarigami, a leader from CPI(M), emphasized the need for the new Jammu and Kashmir government to adopt a flexible approach in dealing with the BJP-led Centre. He stated that it is crucial to effectively communicate the region's demands to New Delhi and urge the Union government to consider the ground reality.
Tarigami, elected to J&K's Assembly for the fifth time, highlighted the importance of restoring the rights of the people in the region. Despite controversies, he remains confident in the coalition government's ability to overcome challenges, criticizing the disempowerment brought by the Reorganisation Act.
Without aspirations for a cabinet position, Tarigami acknowledged the people's discernment in the polls and reflected on the varying successes of political parties like PDP. He reassured that the coalition is prepared to tackle any obstacles, showing unity in the face of adversity.
