Political Heavyweights Submit Nominations for Maharashtra Assembly
Prominent leaders like Aaditya Thackeray and Jayant Patil have filed nominations for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. A total of 153 candidates across the state have submitted their nominations since the process began. Notable entries include Amit Thackeray and Rohit Patil, both debuting in the political scene.

Ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections, leading political figures such as Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and NCP(SP) state chief Jayant Patil have officially filed their nominations.
To date, 153 candidates statewide have submitted nominations, with the filing window opening on October 22 and set to close on October 29.
Among the ruling alliance, NCP ministers Dilip Walse Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal, as well as BJP minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, have put forth their nominations. Newcomers Amit Thackeray and Rohit Patil are also making their political debuts, contesting from Mahim and Tasgaon-Kavthemahankal, respectively.
