In a dramatic turn of events, the Jan Suraaj party, spearheaded by political strategist Prashant Kishor, has reshuffled its candidates for two out of the four Bihar assembly seats facing by-polls. The announcement comes just days before the deadline for filing nomination papers.

During a press conference held in Arrah, social activist Kiran Singh was unveiled as the new candidate for Tarari, replacing Lieutenant General Shri Krishna Singh (Retd), a former Army Vice Chief who had been announced with great enthusiasm last week.

In another seat, Mohd Amjad, a former panchayat mukhiya, takes the place of Khilafat Hussain, an academician from Belaganj. The strategic changes were made in the presence of Prashant Kishor and the party's working president, Manoj Bharti.
