Tej Pratap Yadav, representing the Samajwadi Party, has officially entered the ring for the upcoming Karhal assembly bypoll scheduled for November 13. Accompanied by prominent party figures, including Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav, Tej Pratap filed his nomination papers at the collectorate on Monday.
Expressing confidence in his campaign, Tej Pratap Yadav emphasized the longstanding rapport his family shares with the residents of Karhal. He criticized the BJP for lacking genuine public support, asserting their influence stems only from governmental power.
The Karhal seat, a known SP stronghold since 1993, faces bypolls following Akhilesh Yadav's resignation upon his election as MP from Kannauj. Tej Pratap, a former MP and grandson of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, aims to uphold the party's legacy in this critical contest.
