The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked a significant achievement on Monday as its membership swelled to an impressive 10 crores. With an eye on surpassing its earlier peak of 11 crore members, the party has launched an extensive membership drive starting October 11, set to conclude by the month's end. A scrutiny phase will follow from November 1-5.

Underlining the importance of grassroots involvement, the ongoing membership process focuses on physical enrollment at the Mandal level, a shift from earlier online procedures. New members, once registered, receive certificates after contributing Rs 100 and registering 50 members under their jurisdiction, as per senior BJP insiders.

The membership campaign is supported by a workshop led by BJP national president JP Nadda aimed at fortifying the party's internal framework. This move paves the way for elections across all party levels, culminating in the selection of the national president come January. A pivotal meeting today at the party's extension office focuses on organizational elections, providing leaders with the necessary tools and strategies for effective management.

Efforts to enhance party dynamics while evaluating the membership drive's current progress are in full swing. The BJP is exploring strategies to entice potential members, confirmed by sources at ANI. The meeting includes Central Election Committee officials, state election office holders, national party leaders, state presidents, and organization secretaries ensuring comprehensive discussions.

In addition, the BJP Minority Morcha has rolled out the "Audio Bridge" program, aligning 26,000 Modi Mitra influencers simultaneously. The initiative facilitates understanding of the party's vision and encourages community engagement to further membership goals, noted by BJP sources. This endeavor synergizes Modi Mitra and Sufi Samvad's Sufi saints in their outreach efforts.

A recent letter invites Modi Friends to engage in the campaign simply by making a missed call. This method, used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself during the Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024 launch, boosted participation with 47 lakh sign-ups on day one. The first phase, from September 2-25, saw 6 crore members join, reflecting extensive support. Notably, areas like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Assam have reported substantial numbers, showcasing robust momentum.
