RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha has criticized the Congress-JMM's decision to offer fewer seats to the RJD in Jharkhand's Assembly elections. The RJD, aligned in defeating the BJP, finds the allocation unfair and non-negotiable. Talks continue amid the alliance's strategy to contest 70 seats, while the BJP reveals 66 candidates.

In a wave of dissent, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Kumar Jha has expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress-Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) alliance over the allocation of seats for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. Jha, stating that the RJD stands united against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized the alliance's decision to offer a significantly reduced number of seats to the RJD.

During a press briefing in Ranchi, Jha revealed that cordial discussions had occurred just prior to the announcement, with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren present. However, he lamented the later declaration, indicating the allotment of only 3-4 seats to the RJD, which he described as unacceptable to the party's members and largely insufficient to garner their support.

Despite this setback, Jha noted the RJD's intention to aid the Mahagathbandhan in around 60-62 constituencies. He emphasized the party's robust presence and significant voter base in several regions, arguing the necessity for an equitable seat distribution. Meanwhile, as the political landscape gears up for the November elections, the BJP has already announced its first list of 66 candidates, signaling intense competition in the state.
