TMC Reveals Candidates Amidst Tense West Bengal By-elections

Notably, TMC secured five of these constituencies during the 2021 assembly elections.

However, the backdrop of these elections is marred by ongoing protests from junior doctors, who have adopted a 'fast-unto-death' stance following the alleged rape-murder of a trainee doctor. Their demands include structural healthcare reforms, with political parties now facing an electoral test amid these pressing issues.
