Senior CPI(M) leader Ashok Dhawale has urged Maharashtra's opposition alliance not to underestimate the importance of seat allocation to Left parties in the forthcoming state assembly elections.
In a detailed interview, Dhawale stated that the Left parties aim to secure around 20 out of the 288 available seats, leveraging their established presence across various districts. He cautioned the electoral bloc against complacency, citing a narrow vote-share margin between the NDA and INDIA bloc, despite the latter's recent win of 29 seats.
With assembly elections set for November 20 and results to be declared on November 23, the push for strategic seat-sharing remains a pivotal concern for the Maha Vikas Aghadi in their bid to challenge the current NDA rule in Maharashtra.
