Navya Haridas: BJP's Shining Star in Wayanad By-election

The BJP has nominated Navya Haridas, a software engineer and seasoned politician, as their candidate for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. Facing formidable opponents, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the election is set to be a prestigious contest. Haridas is also the BJP leader and state Mahila Morcha general secretary.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has unveiled Navya Haridas as the National Democratic Alliance's candidate for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. Haridas, who has served two terms as a councillor within the Kozhikode Corporation, will take on high-profile candidates including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of the Congress and CPI's Sathyan Mokeri.

This announcement comes as the BJP releases its roster of candidates for by-elections across various states. Haridas, a rising female leader in the BJP, is not only a software engineer but also leads the party's parliamentary efforts in Kozhikode. She stands as the state general secretary for the Mahila Morcha.

The Wayanad by-election was triggered following Rahul Gandhi's decision to vacate the seat, which he had previously won. Meanwhile, the Palakkad Assembly constituency will witness state general secretary C Krishnakumar's candidacy, a strategic move for the party aiming to secure significant victories in the state's bypolls.
