The Delhi chief minister's residence has become a political battleground with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), through Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, forced its vacation. The residence located at 6, Flagstaff Road, is at the center of this controversy.
In a charged statement released on Wednesday, AAP accused the BJP of displaying an 'anti-women mentality' by removing a female chief minister's belongings during the Navratri festival. The dispute marks another chapter in the ongoing power struggle between the AAP government and the LG office in Delhi.
BJP, however, maintains that the bungalow wasn't officially allotted to Atishi, the current chief minister, and criticized AAP's hurried occupation. As the Political War intensifies, accusations of 'illegal occupation' and demands for proper procedural adherence swell the debate.
