The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dismissed the Congress' concerns about an ''unexplained slowdown'' on the Election Commission website regarding Haryana's poll results, suggesting that it's the opposition trying to build excuses for its potential defeat.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi highlighted strong vote count trends indicating a decisive victory for the ruling party in Haryana, touting it as a historic mandate. He also emphasized the BJP's superior standing in Jammu and Kashmir's electoral battle.

Trivedi countered Congress' complaint of ''bad faith actors'' exploiting the slowdown narrative, citing the presence of Congress counting agents at election booths. He lauded the democratic spirit observed in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, urging political opposition to acknowledge Prime Minister Modi's governance and the free election campaigns conducted in sensitive areas.
