Ghulam Ahmad Mir's Commanding Lead in Dooru: A Political Comeback?

In a significant political comeback, All India Congress Committee general secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir is leading by a considerable margin in the Dooru assembly seat election in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the Election Commission of India, Mir has secured 41,345 votes, establishing a lead of more than 27,000 votes over his People's Democratic Party rival, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, who has gathered 13,731 votes.
With only one more round of counting left, Mir is poised to reclaim the seat he previously won in 2002 and 2008 before losing it in 2014.
