Bharatiya Janata Party MP and Andhra Pradesh state president, Daggubati Purandeswari, has lambasted the INDIA bloc, accusing them of exploiting Jammu and Kashmir for self-serving purposes. Speaking on Tuesday, she appealed to the citizens to prioritize the region's economic progress, peace, and security by voting for the NDA alliance.

"My earnest appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir is that those who have used the region for their selfish ends are known to us. If peace and economic progress are the goals, voting the NDA into power would be ideal to continue the benefits post-abrogation of Article 370," she stated. Purandeswari further emphasized the abrogation's role in improving economic activities and employment opportunities for the youth.

Expressing optimism about the election results, she remarked, "Jammu and Kashmir's integration into India became plausible post-abrogation of Article 370 by the NDA, challenging previous perceptions of its alienation. The ongoing elections are a testament to this integration, and we foresee encouraging results for the NDA." She also pointed to the INDIA bloc, including Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, for their intent to reinstate Article 370, countering that its abrogation has extended parliamentary laws and benefits to the region's residents.

Highlighting the surge in tourism and economic activities, she added, "The region has experienced notable peace and economic improvement. Tourism has seen a significant rise, offering new employment opportunities. With 415 candidates contesting in the third phase for 90 seats, it remains a crucial multi-party contest."

The NC-Congress alliance stands as a key competitor to the PDP and BJP in the elections, the results of which will be announced on October 8.
