Youth Congress workers demonstrated outside the SEBI office in Mumbai on Monday, calling for the resignation of its chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch, over alleged conflicts of interest.
Protesters carried placards and shouted slogans against Puri Buch ahead of a critical SEBI board meeting. This meeting marks the first since allegations against her surfaced.
The police detained and removed the protesters from the Bandra Kurla Complex. The protest was triggered by a report from Hindenburg Research accusing Buch of delayed investigative outcomes in cases involving Adani Group companies, a claim she and her husband have denied.
