Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of working for industrialists at the expense of ordinary citizens. Addressing rallies in Haryana ahead of the October 5 Assembly polls, Gandhi claimed the BJP-led government is perpetuating economic disparity through policies favoring a select few billionaires.
Gandhi compared Modi's economic strategies to the 'chakravyuh' in Mahabharata, alleging that these traps are designed to transfer wealth from the poor to the coffers of a few. Highlighting issues like farmers' welfare, unemployment, and the Agnipath scheme, he stressed the Congress' commitment to bringing about change in Haryana.
Joined by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and senior Congress leaders, Gandhi promised reforms such as legal guarantees for MSP, financial support for women, and affordable gas cylinders. As the campaign trail continues, Congress aims to highlight its stance against industrial favoritism and unity within the party to secure votes.
