In a significant development, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife, Parvathi, has written to the MUDA Commissioner, expressing her readiness to return 14 controversial sites allotted to her in Mysuru's upmarket area.
The letter, circulated late at night among reporters by the Chief Minister's Office, follows a recent Enforcement Directorate booking of Siddaramaiah and others in a money laundering case connected to the MUDA land allotment case, based on a state Lokayukta FIR.
The BJP has termed Parvathi's letter as an 'admission of guilt' and demanded Siddaramaiah's resignation. Parvathi stated that the sites were given to her against land in Kesare village that hadn't been acquired, and she's now willing to cancel the sale deed to maintain her and her husband's honor.
